Education:
Ph.D. Plant Pathology, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2022-present)
B.S. Biology, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (2016-2020).

Research interests:

My research is focused on elucidating the ecological, biological and environmental factors that facilitate colonization and disease development in the Cranberry Fruit Rot (CFR) model. I am focused on applying a combination of molecular analyses, community ecology and field work in order to determine the factors that lead to the expression of fruit rot and finding possible breaches that will help us develop appropriate management strategies.

Personal interests:

Outside the lab I enjoy playing basketball, biking around Madison, and any activity that involves going outdoors.
